Our objectives

The Society was formed in 2010 by a group of Lodsworth parishioners who were keen that the considerable volume of historic documents, scrap books, photographs, maps, etc. which resided in private hands were not lost to the community and  were more readily available for study. The Society’s objectives are to:

• Bring together those interested in Lodsworth’s heritage
• Hold events for villagers and others with an interest in our heritage
• Record for posterity the memories of local people
• Ensure our parish’s historical records are preserved and available for study
• Research aspects of our heritage
• Build our community’s knowledge and understanding of the history of the area and its people.
